-On its own, this is a bit underwhelming but wouldn't it be great if there was a database with the location of all found SSID's? Well, that's where WiGLE.net comes into play, this is a user-generated database of user-found networks. So now that I got your a list of SSID's stored on your phone I can see where you have been. A big part of this list can be easily categorized by for example googling the address. For example, if the network is found in a hotel building you have likely stayed there. And if one of the networks leads to a building that is listed as a private residence there is a good chance it might be your home. +On its own, this is a bit underwhelming but wouldn't it be great if there was a database with the location of all found SSID's?  It would be if you had no information about your target. However, the Pine AP also logs the Mac address of the probing device. So if you are trying to find out where a friend from work lives all you would have to do is sit close to them in public transport and see what device makes a probe for the work network and then watch the probes from that Mac address. It would be if you had no information about your target. -There are a few limitations to this method. First and most obviously, there are going to be a few false positives; there will, for example, be a large number of networks called 'my wifi'. A second limitation is that the Pina AP tends to find less network probes when the target device is already connected to a network. And finally, the PineAP seems to find more probes for open networks than secured networks and sadly this is the case with most home and work networks.+There are a few limitations to this method.
